Configuring VRRP Features (CLI)
This section provides information about the commands used for configuring
VRRP settings on the switch. For more information about the commands, see
the Dell EMC Networking N1100-ON, N1500, N2000, N2100-ON, N3000,

Configuring VRRP Settings
Use the following commands to configure switch and interface VRRP
settings. This set of commands also describes how to configure VRRP
interface and route tracking.
Command Purpose
configure Enter global configuration mode.
ip vrrp Enable the administrative mode of VRRP for the router
(L3 switch).
interface vlan vlan-id Enter Interface Configuration mode for the specified
VLAN.
vrrp vr-id Allow the interface to create in the VRRP group specified
by the vr-id parameter, which is a number from 1–255.
vrrp vr-id description (Optional) Create a text description that identifies the
VRRP group.
vrrp vr-id preempt [delay
seconds]
Enable the preemption mode value for the virtual router
configured on a specified interface.
A preempt delay can optionally be configured. A preempt
delay is the number of seconds the VRRP router waits
before the VRRP router sends an advertisement to claim
master ownership.
vrrp vr-id accept-mode Allow the VRRP master to accept ping packets sent to one
of the virtual router’s IP addresses.
vrrp vr-id priority
priority
Set the priority value for the virtual router configured on
the interface.
vrrp vr-id ip ip-address
[secondary]
Set the virtual router IP address value for an interface.
