Configuring VLANs (CLI)
This section provides information about the commands you use to create and
configure VLANs. For more information about the commands, see the Dell
EMC Networking N1100-ON, N1500, N2000, N2100-ON, N3000, N3100-

Creating a VLAN
Use the following commands to configure a VLAN and associate a name with
the VLAN.
Command Purpose
configure Enter global configuration mode.
vlan vlan-list Create a new VLAN or a range of VLANs and enter the
interface configuration mode for the specified VLAN or
VLANs.
vlan-list — A list of one or more valid VLAN IDs to be
added. List separate, non-consecutive VLAN IDs
separated by commas (without spaces); use a hyphen to
designate a range of IDs. (Range: 2–4093)
name string Add a name to the specified VLAN.
string — Comment or description to help identify a
specific VLAN (Range: 1–32 characters).
CTRL + Z Exit to Privileged Exec mode.
show vlan [vlan-id |
name vlan-name]
Display VLAN information.
vlan-id — A valid VLAN ID.
(Range: 1–4093)
vlan-name — A valid VLAN name string. (Range: 1–32
characters)
