Use the crypto certificate request command to generate and display a
certificate request for HTTPS. This command takes you to Crypto Certificate
Request mode.
Syntax
crypto certificate number request
number — Specifies the certificate number. (Range: 1–2)

User Guidelines
Use this command to generate a certificate request to send to a Certification
Authority. The certificate request is generated in Base64-encoded X.509
format.
Before generating a certificate request, you must first generate a self-signed
certificate using the crypto certificate generate command in Global
Configuration mode in order to sign the certificate request. Make sure to
reenter the identical values in the certificate request fields as were entered in
the self-signed certificate generated by the crypto certificate generate
command.
