User Guidelines
The local address displayed in the output is the IP address of the interface
through which the neighbor is connected.
Update is displayed in the format dd hh:mm:ss where:
dd is days
hh is hours
mm is minutes
ss is seconds
The operational intervals are the intervals used as a result of negotiation with
the BFD link partner.
The following information is displayed.
Parameters Description
Our IP address The current IP address.
Neighbor IP address The IP address of the active BFD neighbor.
State The current state, either Up or Down.
Interface The current interface.
Uptime The amount of time the interface has been up.
Registered Protocol The protocol from which the BFD session was initiated and
that is registered to receive events from BFD. (for example,
BGP).
Local Diag The diagnostic state specifying the reason for the most
recent change in the local session state.
Demand mode Indicates if the system wishes to use Demand mode.
Note: Demand mode is not supported in Dell 6.6.3 8.0,
Minimum transmit
interval
The minimum interval to use when transmitting BFD
control packets.
Actual TX Interval The transmitting interval being used for control packets.
