logging console
Use the logging console command in Global Configuration mode to limit
messages logged to the console based on severity. To disable logging to the
console terminal, use the no form of this command.
Syntax
logging console [severitylevel]
no logging console
severity–level—(Optional) The number or name of the desired severity
level. Range:
[0 | emergencies]
[1 | alerts]
[2 | critical]
[3 | errors]
[4 | warnings]
[5 | notifications]
[6 | informational]
[7 | debugging]
Default Configuration
The default console logging severity is warnings.

User Guidelines
Messages at the selected level and above (numerically lower) are displayed on
the console. Debug level messages (logging console 7) are intended for use by
support personnel. The output is voluminous, cryptic, and because of the
large number of messages generated, can adversely affect switch operations.
Only set the logging level to debug under the direction of support personnel.
