authentication timer restart
Use this command to set the interval after which reauthentication starts. This
timer starts only if all the authentication methods fail.
Use the no form of this command to set the authentication restart timer to
factory default value.
Syntax
authentication timer restart time
no authentication timer restart
time
—The time, in seconds, after which reauthentication starts, if all the
authentication methods have failed. Range: 300-65535.
Default Configuration
The default timer value is 300 seconds.

Example

console(config-if-Gi1/0/1)# no authentication timer restart
authentication violation
This command configures the actions to take when more than the AAA-
configured number of hosts attempts to authenticate on an interface. Use the
no form of the command to set the interface configuration to the default.
