standby
Use the standby command to configure the standby unit in the stack. This
unit comes up as the master when the stack failover occurs. Use the no form
of this command to reset to default, in which case, a standby is automatically
selected from the existing stack units if there no preconfiguration.
Syntax
standby unit
no standby
unit — Valid unit number in the stack. (Range: 1–12 maximum (less on
stacks with a restricted stack size, for example, AdvLite). The range is
limited to the number of units available on the stack.)
Default Configuration
The default configuration is to allow the software to automatically select a
standby unit.
