Layer 3 Routing Commands 1864
Syntax
ip irdp preference integer
no ip irdp preference
• integer — Preference of the address as a default router address, relative to
other router addresses on the same subnet. (Range: -2147483648 to
2147483647
)
Default Configuration
0 is the default value.
Command Mode
Interface Configuration (VLAN) mode.
User Guidelines
This command has no user guidelines.
Example
The following example sets the ip irdp preference to 1000 for VLAN 15.
console(config)#interface vlan 15
console(config-if-vlan15)#ip irdp preference 1000
show ip irdp
Use the show ip irdp command in Privileged Exec mode to display the router
discovery information for all interfaces, or for a specified interface.
Syntax
show ip irdp [vlan vlan-id ]
• vlan-id — Valid VLAN ID
