This section contains commands to manage Dell-supplied or end-user
generated applications.
Commands in this Section
This section explains the following commands:
application install
Use the application install command to install or remove an application.
Syntax
application install
filename
[start-on-boot] [auto-restart] [cpu-sharing
percent
] [max-memory
max-megabytes
]
no application install
filename
filename
— Name of the file containing the executable or script that is
started as a Linux process for the application.
start-on-boot
— Start the application every time the switch boots up.
Takes affect on the subsequent reboot after set. Omit this keyword from
the command to disable starting application at boot time.
auto-restart
— Automatically restart the application’s process(es) if they
stop running. Omit this keyword from the command to disable automatic
restart of the application.
cpu-sharing
— CPU share allocated to this application. Expressed as a
percentage between 0 and 99. If 0 is specified, the application process(es)
are not limited. If this keyword is not specified, the default value is used.
The default is 0.
