User Guidelines
Debug commands should be used with caution. Switch behavior may be
adversely affected by the additional processing load incurred by enabling
debug output.
debug arp
Use the debug arp command to enable tracing of ARP packets. Use the no
form of this command to disable tracing of ARP packets.
Use of the optional vrf parameter executes the command within the context
of the VRF specific routing table.
Syntax
debug arp [vrf
vrf-name
]
no debug arp
vrf-name
—The name of the VRF associated with the routing table context
used by the command. If no vrf is specified, the global routing table
context is used.
Default Configuration
ARP packet tracing is disabled by default.
Command Mode
Privileged Exec mode.
User Guidelines
The VRF identified in the parameter must have been previously created or an
error is returned.
Only IPv4 addresses are supported with the
vrf
parameter.
This vrf parameter is only available on the N3000/N4000 switches.
