User Guidelines
After entering the view corresponding to a specific syslog server, the
command can be executed to set the severity level for syslog messages. Debug
level messages are intended for use by support personnel. The output is
voluminous, cryptic, and because of the large number of messages generated,
can adversely affect switch operations. Only set the logging level to debug
under the direction of support personnel.

The following example sets the syslog message severity level to alert.
