Dell EMC Networking N-Series Switches
This chapter describes how to configure and manage a stack of switches.

Stacking Overview
The Dell EMC Networking N2100-ON, N2200-ON, N3100-ON, and N3200-
ON Series switches include a stacking feature that allows up to 12 switches to
operate as a single unit. The Dell EMC Networking N2000 Series switches
stack up to eight units. The Dell EMC Networking N1124T-ON/N1148T-
ON/N1124P-ON/N1148P-ON, and N1500 Series switches stack up to four
units using 10GB Ethernet links configured as stacking. Dell EMC
Networking N2000 and N2100-ON Series switches have two fixed mini-SAS
connectors at the rear for stacking. Dell EMC Networking N3100-ON Series
switches have an optional 2x21G or 2x40G stacking module. The Dell EMC
Networking N2200-ON supports a QSFP stacking port in the rear.
Dell EMC Networking N1124T-ON/N1148T-ON/N1124P-ON/N1148P-ON
Series switches only stack with other Dell EMC Networking N1124T-
ON/N1148T-ON/N1124P-ON/N1148P-ON Series switches. Dell EMC
Networking N1108P-ON/N1108T-ON/N3208PX-ON Series switches do not
stack.
Dell EMC Networking N2000 Series switches stack with other Dell EMC
Networking N2000 Series switches, and with Dell EMC Networking N2100-
ON Series switches using 21G stacking links.
