• The interface is set to access mode using VLAN 1.
• The port is removed from all access-groups.
• The port is removed from port-channels.
• Speed/duplex are set to defaults.
• Spanning tree is enabled.
• Loop protection, BFD, and UDLD are disabled.
• Port MAC locking is disabled.
• Static MAC address entries referencing the interface are removed.
• Private VLAN configuration is removed.
Use of this command may cause the interface to drop the link. This is
particularly true when the port defaults to a 10G fiber port and the installed
transceiver requires auto-negotiation to be enabled.

duplex
Use the duplex command in Interface Configuration mode to configure the
duplex operation of a given Ethernet interface. To restore the default, use the
no form of this command.
Syntax
duplex {auto | half | full}
no duplex
• auto—Enable auto-negotiation for the port.
• half—Force half-duplex operation and disable auto-negotiation.
• full—Force full-duplex operation and disable auto-negotiation.
