IP Routing Overview
The Dell Networking N-Series switches are multilayer switches that support
static and dynamic routing. Table 32-1 describes some of the general routing
features that can be configured on the switch.
Table 32-1. IP Routing Features
Feature Description
ICMP message control The type of ICMP messages that the switch
responds to, as well as the rate limit and burst size,
are configurable.
Default gateway The switch supports a single default gateway. A
manually configured default gateway is more
preferable than a default gateway learned from a
DHCP server.
