Configure the router to advertise itself to the BSR
router as a PIM candidate Rendezvous Point (RP) for
a specific multicast group range.
vlan-id — A valid VLAN ID.
group-address — Group IP address supported by RP.
group-mask — Group subnet mask for group
address.
interval — (Optional) Indicates the RP candidate
advertisement interval. The range is from 1 to 16383
seconds. The default value is 60 seconds.

(Optional) Statically configure the RP address for one
or more multicast groups. Only one RP address can be
used at a time within a PIM domain
The optional keyword override indicates that if there
is a conflict, the RP configured with this command
prevails over the RP learned by BSR.
interface vlan vlan-id Enter VLAN Interface Configuration mode for the
specified VLAN.
ip pim Enable PIM/IGMP on the VLAN interface.
ip pim hello-interval seconds Specify the number of seconds (range: 0–65535) to
wait between sending PIM hello messages on the
interface.
ip pim bsr-border Prevent bootstrap router (BSR) messages from being
sent or received through the interface.
ip pim dr-priority priority Set the priority value for which a router is elected as
the designated router (DR). The election priority
range is 0–2147483647.
ip pim join-prune-interval
interval
Configure the interface join/prune interval for the
PIM-SM router. The interval range is 0–18000
seconds.
exit Exit to Global Config mode.
exit Exit to Privileged Exec mode.
show ip pim View system-wide PIM information.
