6.4 Verify establishment of BGP between leaf and spine switches
The leaf switches must establish a connection to the spine switches before BGP updates can be exchanged.
Verify that peering is successful and BGP routing has been established.
1. Run the show ip bgp summary command to display information about the BGP and TCP
connections to neighbors. In Figure 20, all three BGP sessions for each leaf switch are shown. The
last session, 192.168.3.1, is the iBGP session between the leaf pairs if there is a leaf to spine layer
failure.
