neighbor maximum-prex
Control the number of network prexes received.
Syntax
neighbor {ip-address | peer-group-name} maximum-prefix maximum [threshold]
[warning-only]
To return to the default values, use the no neighbor {ip-address | peer-group-name} maximum-
prefix maximum command.
Parameters
ip-address Enter the IP address of the neighbor in dotted decimal format.
peer-group-name Enter the name of the peer group.
maximum Enter a number as the maximum number of prexes allowed for this BGP router. The
range is from 1 to 4294967295.
threshold (OPTIONAL) Enter a number to be used as a percentage of the maximum value. When
the number of prexes reaches this percentage of the maximum value, the E-Series
software sends a message. The range is from 1 to 100 percent. The default is 75.
warning-only (OPTIONAL) Enter the keyword warning-only to set the router to send a log message
when the maximum value is reached. If this parameter is not set, the router stops peering
when the maximum number of prexes is reached.
NOTE: When you set this option, the router accepts BGP prexes only until
the maximum congured value. After the maximum number is reached, the
router drops any additional prexes that it receives.
Defaults threshold = 75
