Setting Timeout for EXEC Privilege Mode
EXEC timeout is a basic security feature that returns Dell Networking OS to EXEC mode after a period of
inactivity on the terminal lines.
To set timeout, use the following commands.
Set the number of minutes and seconds. The default is 10 minutes on the console and 30 minutes
on VTY. Disable EXEC time out by setting the timeout period to 0.
LINE mode
exec-timeout minutes [seconds]
Return to the default timeout values.
LINE mode
no exec-timeout
