Usage Information
When you create a VLT domain on a switch, the Dell Networking OS automatically assigns a unique unit ID (0 or 1)
to each peer switch. The unit IDs are used for internal system operations. To explicitly congure the unit ID of a VLT
peer, use the unit-id command. Congure a dierent unit ID (0 or 1) on each peer switch.
This command minimizes the time required for the VLT system to determine the unit ID assigned to each peer
switch when one peer reboots.
vlt domain
Enable VLT on a switch, congure a VLT domain, and enter VLT-Domain Conguration mode.
Syntax
vlt domain domain-id
Parameters
domain-id Enter the domain ID number. Congure the same domain ID on the peer switch. The
range of domain IDs is from 1 to 1000.
