Storm Control
Storm control allows you to control unknown-unicast, muticast, and broadcast trac on Layer 2 and Layer 3 physical interfaces.
Dell EMC Networking Operating System (OS) Behavior: Dell EMC Networking OS supports unknown-unicast, muticast, and broadcast
control for Layer 2 and Layer 3 trac.
Dell EMC Networking OS Behavior: The minimum number of packets per second (PPS) that storm control can limit on the device is two.
To view the storm control broadcast conguration show storm-control broadcast | multicast | unknown-unicast |
pfc-llfc
[interface] command.

To view the storm control multicast conguration, use the show storm-control broadcast | multicast | unknown-
unicast | pfc-llfc [interface] command.

To display the storm control unknown-unicast conguration, use the show storm-control unknown-unicast [interface]
command.

Congure Storm Control
Storm control is supported in INTERFACE mode and CONFIGURATION mode.
Conguring Storm Control from INTERFACE Mode
To congure storm control, use the following command.
From INTERFACE mode:
• You can only congure storm control for ingress trac.
• If you congure storm control from both INTERFACE and CONFIGURATION mode, the INTERFACE mode congurations override the
CONFIGURATION mode congurations.
• The storm control is calculated in packets per second.
