fefd interval
Set an interval between control packets.
Syntax
fefd interval seconds
To return to the default value, use the no fefd interval command.
Parameters
seconds
Enter a number as the time between FEFD control packets. The range is from 3 to
255 seconds. The default is 15 seconds.

Information
You can set up the interval between control packets using the fefd interval command.

fefd mode
Change the FEFD mode on an interface.
Syntax
fefd mode {normal | aggressive}]
To return the FEFD mode to the default of normal, use the no fefd mode command.
Parameters
normal (OPTIONAL) Enter the keyword normal to change the link state to unknown
when a far-end failure the software detects on that interface. When the interface
is placed in unknown state, the software brings down the line protocol.
aggressive (OPTIONAL) Enter the keyword aggressive to change the link state to error-
disabled when a far-end failure the software detects on that interface. When an
interface is placed in error-disabled state, enter the fefd reset command to
reset the interface state.
