network area
Define which interfaces run OSPF and the OSPF area for those interfaces.
S4048ON
Syntax
network ip-address mask area area-id
To disable an OSPF area, use the no network ip-address mask area area-id command.
Parameters
ip-address
Specify a primary or secondary address in dotted decimal format. The primary
address is required before adding the secondary address.
mask
Enter a network mask in /prefix format. (/x)
area-id
Enter the OSPF area ID as either a decimal value or in a valid IP address. Decimal
value range is from 0 to 65535. IP address format is dotted decimal format
A.B.C.D.
NOTE: If the area ID is smaller than 65535, it is converted to a decimal value.
For example, if you use an area ID of 0.0.0.1, it is converted to 1.
