Examples of the show ip prefix-list Command
The following example shows the show ip prefix-list detail command.
DellEMC>show ip prefix detail
Prefix-list with the last deletion/insertion: filter_ospf
ip prefix-list filter_in:
count: 3, range entries: 3, sequences: 5 - 10

Applying a Prex List for Route Redistribution
To pass trac through a congured prex list, use the prex list in a route redistribution command.
Apply the prex list to all trac redistributed into the routing process. The trac is either forwarded or dropped, depending on the criteria
and actions specied in the prex list.
To apply a lter to routes in RIP, use the following commands.
Enter RIP mode.
CONFIGURATION mode
router rip
Apply a congured prex list to incoming routes. You can specify an interface.
If you enter the name of a nonexistent prex list, all routes are forwarded.
CONFIG-ROUTER-RIP mode
distribute-list prefix-list-name in [interface]
Apply a congured prex list to outgoing routes. You can specify an interface or type of route.
If you enter the name of a non-existent prex list, all routes are forwarded.
CONFIG-ROUTER-RIP mode
distribute-list prefix-list-name out [interface | connected | static | ospf]
Example of Viewing Congured Prex Lists (ROUTER RIP mode)
To view the conguration, use the show config command in ROUTER RIP mode, or the show running-config rip command in
EXEC mode.
DellEMC(conf-router_rip)#show config
!
router rip
distribute-list prefix juba out
