Restrictions
Deep Buer mode and network QoS congurations cannot coexist. Enable Deep Buer mode only when the network QoS congurations;
for example LLFC and PFC are disabled. To congure Deep Buer mode, disable all network QoS related congurations.
Congure Deep Buer mode
You must disable all the network QoS congurations; for example, PFC and LLFC, before conguring the Deep Buer mode. Deep Buer
mode is disabled by default.
1 Enable Deep Buer mode in CONFIGURATION mode.
OS10# configure terminal
OS10(config)# hardware deep-buffer-mode
NOTE: To disable Deep Buer mode, use the no form of the command. Disabling Deep Buer mode takes eect only
after saving it in the startup conguration and reloading the switch.
After you congure Deep Buer mode, the system displays a warning stating that the conguration takes eect only after saving it in
the startup conguration and reloading the switch.
% Warning: Deep buffer mode configuration will be applied only after a save and reload.
2 Save Deep Buer mode in the startup conguration in CONFIGURATION mode.
OS10(config)# do write memory
3 Reload the switch in CONFIGURATION mode.
OS10(config)# do reload
Proceed to reboot the system? [confirm yes/no]:yes
View Deep Buer mode status
To view Deep Buer mode status, use the show hardware deep-buffer-mode command. The show command output displays the
status of Deep Buer mode in the current boot and the next boot.
The following is Deep Buer mode status before enabling it, the default setting:
OS10# show hardware deep-buffer-mode

The following is Deep Buer mode status after saving the conguration in the startup conguration:
