Command Mode INTERFACE
Usage Information The congured hop limit is advertised in RA messages and included in IPv6 data packets sent by the router. 0
indicates that no hop limit is specied by the router.
Example
OS10(config)# interface ethernet 1/2/3
OS10(conf-if-eth1/2/3)# ipv6 nd hop-limit 100

ipv6 nd managed-cong-ag
Sends RA messages that tell hosts to use stateful address autoconguration, such as DHCPv6, to obtain IPv6 addresses.
Syntax
ipv6 nd managed-config-flag
Parameters None
Defaults Not congured
Command Mode INTERFACE
Usage Information The no version of this command disables the managed-config-flag option in RA messages.
Example
OS10(config)# interface ethernet 1/2/3
OS10(conf-if-eth1/2/3)# ipv6 nd managed-config-flag

ipv6 nd max-ra-interval
Sets the maximum time interval between sending RA messages.
Syntax
ipv6 nd max-ra-interval seconds
Parameters
max-ra-interval seconds — Enter a time interval in seconds (4 to 1800).
Defaults 600 seconds

Usage Information The no version of this command restores the default time interval used to send RA messages.

OS10(config)# interface ethernet 1/2/3
OS10(conf-if-eth1/2/3)# ipv6 nd max-ra-interval 300

ipv6 nd mtu
Sets the maximum transmission unit (MTU) used on a local link in RA messages.
Syntax
ipv6 nd mtu number
Parameters
mtu number — Enter the MTU size in bytes (1280 to 65535).
