IPv6 forwarding is enabled on physical Ethernet interfaces, VLANs, and port groups. IPv6 forwarding is disabled only when
you enable IPv6 address autoconfiguration on an interface and set it in host mode using the ipv6 address autoconfig
command.
IPv6 forwarding is permanently disabled on the management Ethernet interface so that it remains in Host mode and does not
operate as a router regardless of the ipv6 address autoconfig setting.
If necessary, you can manually disable IPv6 processing on an interface so that the configured IPv6 addresses do not take effect.
The IPv6 addresses take effect again when you re-enable IPv6.
If you disable IPv6 and configure a Layer (L2) interface in Layer (L3) mode, IPv6 is not automatically re-enabled on the
interface. You must manually re-enable it.
A link-local address automatically generates when you re-enable IPv6 on an interface with the ipv6 enable command.

IPv6 addresses
An IPv6 address consists of a 48-bit global routing prefix, optional 16-bit subnet ID, and a 64-bit interface identifier in the
extended universal identifier (EUI)-64 format.
IPv6 128-bit addresses are represented as a series of eight 16-bit hexadecimal fields separated by colons: x:x:x:x:x:x:x:x.

Leading zeros in each field are optional. You can also use two colons (::) to represent successive hexadecimal fields of zeros, but
you can use this short version only one time in each address:
2001:db8::1428:57ab
In the following example, all the addresses are valid and equivalent:
