description (VLAN)
Adds a description to the selected VLAN.
Syntax
description description
Parameters description — Enter a text string to identify the VLAN. A maximum of 80 characters.
Default Not congured

OS10(conf-if-vlan)# description vlan3
Supported Releases 10.2.0E or later
interface vlan
Creates a VLAN interface.
Syntax
interface vlan vlan-id
Parameters vlan-id — Enter the VLAN ID number, from 1 to 4093.
Default VLAN 1
Command Mode CONFIGURATION
Usage Information FTP, TFTP, MAC ACLs, and SNMP operations are not supported. IP ACLs are supported on VLANs only. The no
version of this command deletes the interface.

show vlan
Displays VLAN congurations.
Syntax
show vlan vlan-id
Parameters vlan-id — (Optional) Enter a VLAN ID number, from 1 to 4093.

Usage Information Use this command to view VLAN conguration information for a specic VLAN ID.
Example
OS10(config)# do show vlan
Codes: * - Default VLAN, M - Management VLAN, R - Remote Port Mirroring VLANs
