Command Mode CONFIGURATION
Usage
Information
A device receiving BPDUs waits until the max-hops value expires before discarding it. When a device
receives the BPDUs, it decrements the received value of the remaining hops and uses the resulting value
as remaining-hops in the BPDUs. If the remaining MSTP 1333 hops reach zero, the device discards the
BPDU and ages out any information that it holds for the port. The command configuration applies to all
common IST (CIST) in the MST region.
Example
OS10(config)# spanning-tree mst max-hops 30
Supported
Releases
10.2.0E or later
spanning-tree port

Syntax
spanning-tree port type edge
Parameters None

state. Only configured ports connected to end hosts act as EdgePorts.
