Usage
Information
This command is only valid for tunnel interfaces with an IPv6 outer header.
tunnel hop-limit
Configure the method to set the IPv4 time-to-live or the IPv6 hop limit value in the outer tunnel header.
S4820T
Syntax
tunnel hop—limit value
To restore the default tunnel hop-limit, use the no tunnel hop—limit command.
Parameters
value
Enter the hop limit (IPv6) or time-to-live (IPv4) to include in the tunnel
header. The range is from 0 to 255. The default is 64.
Defaults 64 (for IPv4 and IPv6)

Information
A value of 0 copies the inner packet hop limit (IPv6) or time-to-live (IPv4) in the encapsulated
packet to the tunnel header hop limit value.

Enable a tunnel interface.
S4820T
Syntax
tunnel mode {ipip | ipv6 | ipv6ip}
To disable an active tunnel interface, use the no tunnel mode command.
