Usage
Information
If an IP address or VRRP group is assigned to the interface, you cannot use the switchport
command on the interface. To use the switchport command on an interface, only the no
ip address and no shutdown statements must be listed in the show config
output.
When you enter the switchport command, the interface is automatically added to the
default VLAN.
To use the switchport backup interface command on a port, first enter the
switchport command. For more information, refer to the “Configuring Redundant Links”
section in the “Layer 2” chapter of the
FTOS Configuration Guide .
