System Time and Date
Overview
The commands in this chapter configure time values on the system, either using
FTOS, or the hardware, or using the Network Time Protocol (NTP). With NTP, the
switch can act only as a client to an NTP clock host. For details, the “Network Time
Protocol” section of the Management chapter in the FTOS Configuration Guide.
The commands in this chapter are generally supported on the C-Series, E-Series, and
S-Series, with some exceptions, as noted in the Command History fields and by these
symbols under the command headings:
