You can configure multiple time serving hosts (up to 250). From these time serving
hosts, the FTOS will choose one NTP host with which to synchronize. Use the show
ntp associations to determine which server was selected.
Since a large number of polls to NTP hosts can impact network performance, Dell
Force10 recommends that you limit the number of hosts configured.

Enter an IPv4 address (A.B.C.D) or IPv6 address (X:X:X:X::X).
hostname Enter the hostname of the server.
key keyid
(OPTIONAL) Enter the keyword key and a number as the NTP peer key.
Range: 1 to 4294967295
prefer
(OPTIONAL) Enter the keyword prefer to indicate that this peer has priority
over other servers.
version number
(OPTIONAL) Enter the keyword version and a number to correspond to the
NTP version used on the server.
