Disabled.
Command Modes

Usage
Information
If you enter bgp dampening, the default values for half-life, reuse, suppress, and
max-suppress-time are applied. The parameters are position-dependent, therefore, if
you configure one parameter, you must configure the parameters in the order they
appear in the CLI.
Version 7.8.1.0 Introduced support on S-Series
Version 7.7.1.0 Introduced support on C-Series
Added support for 4-byte format
half-life
(OPTIONAL) Enter the number of minutes after which the Penalty
is decreased. After the router assigns a Penalty of 1024 to a route,
the Penalty is decreased by half after the half-life period expires.
Range: 1 to 45.
Default: 15 minutes
reuse
(OPTIONAL) Enter a number as the reuse value, which is
compared to the flapping route’s Penalty value. If the Penalty value
is less than the reuse value, the flapping route is once again
advertised (or no longer suppressed).
Range: 1 to 20000.
Default: 750
suppress
(OPTIONAL) Enter a number as the suppress value, which is
compared to the flapping route’s Penalty value. If the Penalty value
is greater than the suppress value, the flapping route is no longer
advertised (that is, it is suppressed).
Range: 1 to 20000.
Default: 2000
max-suppress-time (OPTIONAL) Enter the maximum number of minutes a route can
be suppressed. The default is four times the half-life value.
Range: 1 to 255.
Default: 60 minutes.
route-map map-name (OPTIONAL) Enter the keyword route-map followed by the name
of a configured route map.
Only match commands in the configured route map are supported.
