Disable a BGP neighbor or peer group.
Syntax
neighbor {ip-address | peer-group-name} shutdown
To enable a disabled neighbor or peer group, use the neighbor {ip-address |
peer-group-name} no shutdown command.

Enabled (that is, BGP neighbors and peer groups are disabled.)

Information
Peers that are enabled within a peer group are disabled when their peer group is
disabled.
The neighbor shutdown command terminates all BGP sessions on the BGP neighbor
or BGP peer group. Use this command with caution as it terminates the specified
BGP sessions. When a neighbor or peer group is shutdown, use the show ip bgp
summary command to confirm its status.

ip-address
Enter the IP address of the neighbor in dotted decimal format.
peer-group-name
Enter the name of the peer group to disable or enable all routers within
the peer group.
show ip bgp summary Displays the current BGP configuration.
show ip bgp neighbors Displays the current BGP neighbors.
