EXEC Privilege mode
enable or enable privilege-level
If you do not enter a privilege level, Dell Networking OS sets it to 15 by default.
• Move to a lower privilege level.
EXEC Privilege mode
disable level-number
• level-number: The level-number you wish to set.
If you enter disable without a level-number, your security level is 1.
Resetting a Password
To reset a password on the system, follow these steps.
1 Connect to the system using a console.
2 Disconnect and reconnect the power cord on the system to cycle the power.
3 During system boot, press ESC when prompted to display the Grub Menu (see Example 1).
4 During system boot, press ESC when prompted during the countdown to stop the auto-boot process (see Example 2).
5 Press C to access the Grub boot loader command line prompt.
6 Enter the following commands at the Grub command line prompt (grub>).
set stconfigignore=true
save_env stconfigignore
reboot
7 The system boots up with factory default conguration. The default Dell> system prompt displays when the system boots.
8 Copy the startup-cong into the running-cong.
9 To display the content of the startup-cong, remove the previous authentication conguration and set the new authentication
parameters. The rest of the previous conguration is preserved.
