Commands to Congure DNS
To congure the Domain Names Systems (DNS) on the system, use the following commands:
ip name-server
Congures the name server IP addresses for VRF. Using this command, you can congure up to a maximum of six IP addresses per
VRF.

ip name-server [vrf vrf-name] ip-address [ip-address2] [ip-address3] [ip-
address4] [ip-address5] [ip-address6]
To undo the name server ip address conguration for VRF, use the no ip name-server [vrf vrf-
name] ip-address command.
Parameters
vrf vrf-name (Optional) Enter the key word vrf and then the name of the VRF to congure the
name server IP addresses for that VRF.

address6]
Enter the IP address of the name server in dotted decimal format.
NOTE: Use the additional ip-address parameters (ip-address2 to
ip-address6) in a sequential order to specify up to a maximum of six IP
addresses per VRF.
