Parameters
seconds Interval of transmission time between CSNPs on multi-access networks for the 
designated intermediate system. The range is from 0 to 65535. The default is 10.
level-1 (OPTIONAL) Independently congures the interval of time between transmission 
of CSNPs for Level 1.
level-2 (OPTIONAL) Independently congures the interval of time between transmission 
of CSNPs for Level 2.
Defaults seconds = 10; level-1 (if not otherwise specied)

Usage Information
The default values of this command are typically satisfactory transmission times for a specic interface on a 
designated intermediate system. To maintain database synchronization, the designated routers send CSNPs.
You can congure Level 1 and Level 2 CSNP intervals independently.
isis hello-interval
Specify the length of time between hello packets sent.
Syntax
isis hello-interval seconds [level-1 | level-2]
To return to the default values, use the no isis hello-interval [seconds] [level-1 | 
level-2] command.
Parameters
seconds Allows you to set the length of time between hello packet transmissions. The range 
is from 1 to 65535. The default is 10.
level-1 (OPTIONAL) Select this value to congure the hello interval for Level 1. This value 
is the default.
level-2 (OPTIONAL) Select this value to congure the hello interval for Level 2.
