Disable the default VLAN so that all switchports are placed in the Null VLAN until they are explicitly congured as a member of
another VLAN.

Assign a name to the VLAN.

name vlan-name
To remove the name from the VLAN, use the no name command.
Parameters
vlan-name Enter up to 32 characters as the name of the VLAN.
