C VxRail node discovery troubleshooting
If supported leaf switches other than S5148F-ON, S4248FB-ON, or S4248FBL-ON are used, and the OS
version is 10.4.3.0 or later, also run the following command on each leaf switch to enable node discovery:
(config)# no multicast snooping flood-restrict
Note: The above command is not supported on S5148F-ON, S4248FB-ON, or S4248FBL-ON switches or for
switches running an OS version prior to 10.4.3.0. For more information, see the Unknown multicast flood
control section of the OS10 Enterprise Edition User Guide Release 10.4.3.0.
In VxRail 4.5, multicast is used for node discovery on the in-band management VLAN. The multicast snooping
flood-restrict feature may block this traffic and the command above disables this feature. After VxRail
deployment is complete, the multicast snooping flood-restrict feature may optionally be reenabled with the
following command:
