Usage Information
Only VLAN and port-channel interfaces created using the interface vlan and interface port-
channel commands can be used in the interface range command.
Use the show running-config command to display the VLAN and port-channel interfaces. VLAN or
port-channel interfaces that are not displayed in the show running-config command cannot be used
with the bulk conguration feature of the
interface range command. You cannot create virtual
interfaces (VLAN, Port-channel) using the interface range command.
NOTE: If a range has VLAN, physical and port-channel interfaces, only commands related to
physical interfaces can be bulk congured. To congure commands specic to VLAN and port-
channel only those respective interfaces should be congured in a particular range.
Example (Single
Range)
This example shows a single range bulk conguration.
Dell(config)# interface range tengigabitethernet 5/1/1 - 5/7/3
Dell(config-if-range-te-5/1/1-5/7/3)# no shutdown
Dell(config-if-range-te-5/1/1-5/7/3)#
Example (Multiple
Range)
This example shows how to use commas to add dierent interface types to the range enabling all Tengigabit
Ethernet interfaces in the range 5/1/1 to 5/20/3 and both Ten-Gigabit Ethernet interfaces 1/1/1 and 1/2/1.
Dell(config-if)# interface range tengigabitethernet 5/1/1 - 5/20/3,
tengigabitethernet 1/1/1 - 1/2/1
Dell(config-if-range-te-1/1/1-1/2/1,te-5/1/1-5/20/3)# no shutdown

Example (Multiple
Range)
This example shows how to use commas to add VLAN and port-channel interfaces to the range.
Dell(config-if)# interface range tengigabitethernet 5/1/1 -5/20/3,
tengigabitethernet 1/1/1 –1/2/1,
Vlan 2–100, Port 1–25
Dell(config-if-range-te-1/1/1-1/2/1,te-5/1/1-5/23/1,vl-2-100,po-1-25)# no
