Adding or Removing a Port Channel from a VLAN
As with other interfaces, you can add Layer 2 port channel interfaces to VLANs. To add a port channel to a VLAN, place the port
channel in Layer 2 mode (by using the switchport command).
To add or remove a VLAN port channel and to view VLAN port channel members, use the following commands.
• Add the port channel to the VLAN as a tagged interface.
INTERFACE VLAN mode
tagged port-channel id number
An interface with tagging enabled can belong to multiple VLANs.
• Add the port channel to the VLAN as an untagged interface.
INTERFACE VLAN mode
untagged port-channel id number
An interface without tagging enabled can belong to only one VLAN.
• Remove the port channel with tagging enabled from the VLAN.
INTERFACE VLAN mode
no tagged port-channel id number
or
no untagged port-channel id number
• Identify which port channels are members of VLANs.
EXEC Privilege mode
show vlan
Configuring VLAN Tags for Member Interfaces
To configure and verify VLAN tags for individual members of a port channel, perform the following:
1 Configure VLAN membership on individual ports
INTERFACE mode
Dell(conf-if)#vlan tagged 2,3-4
2 Use the switchport command in INTERFACE mode to enable Layer 2 data transmissions through an individual interface
INTERFACE mode
Dell(conf-if)#switchport
3 Verify the manually configured VLAN membership (show interfaces switchport interface command).
EXEC mode
Dell(conf)# interface tengigabitethernet 1/1/1
Dell(conf-if-te-1/1/1)#switchport
Dell(conf-if-te-1/1/1)# vlan tagged 2-5,100,4010
