Usage Information When you congure keepalive, the system sends a self-addressed packet out of the congured interface to
verify that the far end of a WAN link is up. When you congure no keepalive, the system does not send
keepalive packets and so the local end of a WAN link remains up even if the remote end is down.
monitor interface
Monitor counters on a single interface or all interfaces. The screen is refreshed every ve seconds and the CLI prompt disappears.
Syntax
monitor interface [interface]
To disable monitoring and return to the CLI prompt, press the q key.
Parameters
interface (OPTIONAL) Enter the following keywords and the interface information:
• For the Management interface on the stack-unit, enter the keyword
managementEthernet then the slot/port information.
• For a port channel interface, enter the keyword port-channel and then a number.
•
For a Tunnel interface, enter the keyword tunnel then the slot/port. The range is
from 1 to 16383.
• For a 10-Gigabit Ethernet interface, enter the keyword TenGigabitEthernet then
the slot/port/subport information.
• For a 40-Gigabit Ethernet interface, enter the keyword fortyGigE then the slot/
port information.
