Usage Information
When you congure a join lter, it is applicable for both ingress and egress ows. There is no option to specify in or
out parameters while conguring a join lter.
Example
Dell(conf)# ip access-list extended iptv-channels
Dell(config-ext-nacl)# permit ip 10.1.2.3/24 225.1.1.0/24
Dell(config-ext-nacl)# permit ip any 232.1.1.0/24
Dell(config-ext-nacl)# permit ip 100.1.1.0/16 any

• ip access-list extended — congure an access list based on IP addresses or protocols.
ip pim neighbor-lter
To prevent a router from participating in protocol independent multicast (PIM), congure this feature.
Syntax
ip pim [vrf vrf-name] neighbor-filter {access-list}
To remove the restriction, use the no ip pim [vrf vrf-name] neighbor-filter {access-list}
command.
Parameters
vrf vrf-name (OPTIONAL) Enter the keyword vrf followed by the name of the VRF to prevent that
VRF from participating in PIM.
NOTE: Applies to specic VRF if input is provided, else applies to default
VRF.
access-list Enter the name of a standard access list. Maximum 16 characters.
Defaults none
