neighbor local-as
To accept external routes from neighbors with a local AS number in the AS number path, congure Internal BGP (IBGP) routers.
Syntax
neighbor {ip-address | peer-group-name} local-as as-number [no-prepend]
To return to the default value, use the no neighbor {ip-address | peer-group-name} local-as
command.
Parameters
ip-address Enter the IP address of the neighbor in dotted decimal format.
peer-group-name Enter the name of the peer group to set the advertisement interval for all routers in the
peer group.
as-number Enter the AS number to reset all neighbors belonging to that AS. The range is from 0 to
65535 (2 byte), from 1 to 4294967295 (4 byte) or from 0.1 to 65535.65535 (dotted
format).
no prepend Species that local AS values do not prepend to announcements from the neighbor.
Defaults Not congured.

Usage Information
If a local-as is congured, BGP does not allow for the conguration of BGP confederation. Similarly, if BGP
confederation is congured, then BGP does not allow the conguration of local-as.
This command automatically restarts the neighbor session for the conguration to take eect.
