Usage Information To congure a list of possible domain names, congure the ip domain-list command up to six times.
If you congure both the ip domain-name and ip domain-list commands, the software tries to resolve
the name using the
ip domain-name command. If the name is not resolved, the software goes through the list
of names congured with the ip domain-list command to nd a match.
To enable dynamic resolution of hosts, use the following steps:
specify a domain name server with the ip name-server command
enable DNS with the ip domain-lookup command
To view current bindings, use the show hosts command. To view a DNS-related conguration, use the show
running-config resolve command.
