protocol lldp (Interface)
Enter the LLDP protocol in INTERFACE mode.
Syntax
[no] protocol lldp
To return to the global LLDP conguration mode, use the no protocol lldp command from Interface mode.
Defaults LLDP is not enabled on the interface.

Usage Information
Before LLDP can be congured on an interface, it must be enabled globally from CONFIGURATION mode. This
command places you in LLDP mode on the interface; it does not enable the protocol.
When you enter the LLDP protocol in the Interface context, it overrides global congurations. When you execute
the no protocol lldp from INTERFACE mode, interfaces begin to inherit the conguration from global LLDP
CONFIGURATION mode.
