stack-unit module
Provision the stack unit to accept one of the 3 supported module types
Syntax
stack-unit [stack-unit number] module [module slot number] provision
[module type]
Use no stack-unit [stack-unit number] module [module slot number] provision
to de-provision.
Parameters
stack-unit
number
Enter a stack member identifier of the switch that you want to add to the stack.
module slot
number
Enter the slot number of the module to identify the slot to be provisioned.
module type
Enter the module type from one of the following:
● QSFP+
● QSFP28
● QSFP28_4CXP

Usage
Information
This command is used to provision the switch to accept a particular type of module.
NOTE:
1. If a module is already inserted in a module slot, the module needs to be removed before de-
provisioning the module type on the slot.
2. If a slot is already provisioned for one type of module, you cannot insert another type of module
into the same slot without de-provisioning it.
3. If a module is removed, and the system is restarted, the interfaces for the module will not be
created unless the re-insertion of the module has been done again.
4. Logical interfaces are not created during provisioning. Interfaces would be created only on actual
module insertion.

● show system (S-Series and Z-Series) – display the status of all stack members or a specific member.
vlan-stack access
Specify a Layer 2 port or port channel as an access port to the stackable VLAN network.
Syntax
vlan-stack access
To remove access port designation, use the no vlan-stack access command.
