● ( ) = (parenthesis) groups a series of pattern elements to a single element.
● { } = (braces) minimum and the maximum match count.
● ^ = (caret) the beginning of the input string. If you use the caret at the
beginning of a sequence or range, it matches on everything BUT the characters
specified.
● $ = (dollar sign) the end of the output string.

Information
If you enter the clear ip bgp flap-statistics command without any parameters, all statistics
are cleared.

Reset a peer-group’s BGP sessions.
Syntax
clear ip bgp [vrf vrf-name] peer-group peer-group-name [ipv4 [multicast |
unicast] | ipv6 unicast] [soft {in | out}]
Parameters
peer-group-name Enter the peer group name to reset the BGP sessions within that peer group.
ipv4 multicast (OPTIONAL) Enter the keyword ipv4 followed by the keyword multicast to
reset ipv4 multicast routes.
