This document provides information on an initialization error when connecting a Dell™ PowerVault™ 136T tape library to a storage area network (SAN) running Computer Associates® ARCserve™ Version 7.0 for Novell® NetWare®. When you are running ARCserve 7.0 for NetWare in a SAN with both Fibre Channel ports on a PowerVault 136T tape device connected to the same Fibre Channel fabric, ARCserve might not be able to detect the tape device and generate an initialization error.
