Step 2 Refer to the HyperTerminal documentation for the procedures to configure and execute the HyperTerminal program.
Step 3 Configure HyperTerminal with the following parameters:
l Bits per second 38400
l Data bits 8
l Parity None
l Stop bits 1
l Flow control None
l Emulation ANSI
Step 4 Run HyperTerminal.
Step 5 Use the procedure shown in Command Log Dialog or Error Log Dialog to print the logs to the PC. Save the log for Dell Customer Support.
If HyperTerminal is not available, use the Command Log Dialog or Error Log Dialog and manually retrieve and copy as many logs as possible.
Operator Intervention Message
If a problem causes an operator intervention message to appear, refer to Table 2 for an explanation of the parameters in the message.
Operator Information Message
During the course of normal operation, operator information messages appear. Refer to Table 3 for a listing of the available messages.
Main Menu Selection
The Main Menu is the first interactive menu displayed after applying power. The Main Menu consists of the initial screen and the alternate screen.
All subsequent menus and options are selectable from the Main Menu. Eight options are available with four of the options present at all times. See
Figure 6 for an illustration of the initial screen and Figure 7 for the alternate screen of the Main Menu.

Pressing the button beneath the More softkey causes the Main Menu (alternate screen) to appear.
